Damn! I missed my deadline! I'm really busy, people. This has been the most hectic month I've had since the book launch. My freelance work tripled, and I've been working 36 hour days to keep up with it. Also, I'm stuck in an airport right now on my way to D.C. with a low battery. I'm hoping I've got enough juice to get this page up. So.. here's my NEW laundh date: August 25th. As I said before, the OA site will have a new layout and a new color scheme. Also, expect there to be a lot more info about the college culture surrounding the story. NOTE: THE OA SECTION OF THIS SITE DESIGN WAS LAST UPDATED ON JULY 15th. I need a bit more time, so that I can properly move the new files to the primary server. Expect some free goodies to be available on launch day as well. THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE!
Thanks for your patience!
Hi, everyone! Here (at last) are the photos I took at MEGACON, one of the country's biggest comic conventions in Orlando, FL. It was incredible and I had a great time with my daughter, on our last father-daughter roadtrip before she goes off to college. Enjoy!

Alright, I give in. I'm officially admitting I can't maintain
the 3X schedule right now. Here's the deal. Until the
end of May I'm switching to a 2-a-week posting.
I'll be posting a new page every MONDAY and THURSDAY until May
30th. I've got a ton of things to do with my students as well
as my family for the next two months. Graduations, grading, traveling,
etc. I've got some book appearances mixed in as well.
I'll be in New York next month. I'll
let you know where to find me. if you're on the mailing list. Thanks
for your patience. This has been a rough semester for me.

It's HERE! A brand new blog designed specifically
to discuss all things associated with the OPPOSITE series.
I want this to be a place to gather and chat about the book, the characters and the
community surrounding it. It's for
you, the reader. When you get a chance, go check it
out and say HELLO. This link is here.
That's right! The G Shop just opened with my new line of promotional clothing It;s an ambitious task to say the least, but I started getting a few request a while back, and decided to give it a shot. The first wave is a test set. I'm looking for the right selection of items to round out the collection. There's stuff in there from both the OS and OA storyline, so all the readersfeel free to browse. I think the prices are reasonable, and the reputation of cafepress is pretty solid. Click HERE and pop on over and have a look. Let me know if there's something you'd like to see added to the collection! Thanks again for giving me the courage to try this! :^)
My DeviantArt site UP!
I finally posted some stuff on my deviantart page, to showcase some of the artwork from this site. You'll find a few original wallpapers, along with some of the wallpapers from here, a few original drawings, and some OA comic pages WITHOUT word balloons. I thought it might be cool to show you what some of the pages look like without those distracting bubbles all over them. Here's the link:

Let me know what you think.
I put a BONUS page up for ya. It's a "How-I-Draw-This" page for Opposite Again. Wanna see it? Check it out here.
Blue Pencil Response That Made My Day
Something happened after my "Blue Pencil" complaint a couple of days ago that was so cool I just had to share it. Several of my friends walked up to me asking if I'd solved the Pencil Issue yet. I thought, wow, I lot of people read the OA home page as much as the comic updates. (The pencil rant was about how great the Staedtler Mars Non Photo Blue pencils were to draw with, but often impossible to find in most of my art supply stores.)
But the most interesting part was an email I received a reader forwarding email from a young lady who said somebody sent her an email, thinking they were writing me. She said she didn't understand what the content of the letter meant, until SHE read my update page! After seeing the blue pencil writing, she said she figured the letter was meant for me and forwarded it. What are the odds of something like that really happening? The letter mentioned several online sources of where I could get as many Staedtler Mars Non Photo Blue pencils as I needed. How cool is that? Once again, you readers came through for me. Thanks again for all your support and I hope you continue to enjoy the story!
:^)
BROWSER TIP: This site
is best viewed with Firefox 1x(mac/pc),
Opera 8x(mac/pc), Safari 2x(mac) and NN 7x(win).
NOTE: For some reason, my CSS is going haywire in
Explorer Everything!. Frankly, I'm not in the mood to fix it.
So, as usual, Firefox is still my browser of choice!
Why revisit the OS storyline?
Many of my readers said they were really disappointed that the Opposite Sex ended. I know how they feel. I wish it could have kept going too, but I finished it in the late eighties! The problem was , how do you extend a story that's already finished? Simple. Pick up your pencil again and get it on! OPPOSITE AGAIN is my attempt to create a worthy sequel to the original story. Opposite Again is a new adventure involving the original cast from the OS, with a few new players signing on.
What's the NEW story about?
This story takes place approximately a year after the ending of the OS. The gang is in their senior year at Westside High, and they’re preparing for their College Tour Trip, which will involve visiting 3 colleges in the state. The three campuses, all in the same city, are Garvey College, Haywood University, and Banneker-Carver College. Michael, interested in biochemistry, wants to attend Haywood, which was Professor Struball’s previous teaching post. However, Michael is still suffering from occasional side effects associated with the last blast of the Professor’s machine. When his condition becomes unbearable, he winds up in the hospital. They decide to quarantine Michael while they investigate his unusual blood cell activity. It all seems pretty routine, until a medical test reactivates his dormant mutation cells, and starts the transformation to “Michele” all over again. This time, however, the professor has no machine to change her back. Not wanting to miss the college trip, the Chandler family figures out a way to get Michele on the college tour. They succeed, and once on the college campuses, Michele’s mysterious charm weaves its universal effect on everyone she encounters.
So what did I miss during the year?
A few things have happened in the past year, most of which you’ve probably already figured out. Here's a couple of updates:
-
Michael and Treecy are now a couple.
-
King has graduated and he’s the new starting quarterback for Garvey’s football team.
-
Xanthia wants to go to college, but her Mother is trying to force her to return to Jamaica to take over the family business.
-
Michael is being recruited by Major League Baseball to turn pro after high school.
-
Denise is desperately hoping that her softball scholarship comes through.
How to navigate the OA site
Use the links to the top right of every page to move around the site. I'll be using the Xtraz page for misc. stuff, like downloadable files, wallpaper, etc. Who knows? Maybe t-shirts? posters? Check it often as the new year proceeds. Thanks for your continued support of my site.
