WHASSUP! I figured it's time to share more stuff with all of you. I've created this page to provide some "extra" stuff for you and your computer. This page will contain items of interest as well links to other sites. Enjoy!
I put a BONUS page up for ya. It's a "How-I-Draw-This" page for Opposite Again. Wanna see it? Check it out here.
ALL ABOUT STEPPIN'
I got an email from a reader in Italy about the dialog from page 120, asking: "What is a stepshow?" Well, it's hard to describe it, but they're all a wonder to behold. I'll explain it detail in the storyline, but for now, you need to check it out for yourself. If you live outside of the U.S., you may have to buy a video. Here are a few resources:
STEPSHOWS.COM
This site has all sorts of stepshows done by greek
organizations, high school students and community groups. They have a
collection of DVDs for sale.
STOMPSHOW.COM
Founded in 1999 as the premiere location to purchase
Stepshows and Yardshows for home video, STOMPSHOW.com has a huge collection
of vids for sale.
ALL
ON TAPE
Billing themselves as the number one source for
some of the most exciting and memorable events around, allontape.com films
it all. Whether it's A step show, fashion show or a talent showcase, they
promised they can back it up with true digital video quality materials.
Worth a look!
I hope that helps. I've be getting to the event in the story shortly, so look to see the girls attending a typical stepshow.
Thinking "Cool" Thoughts
On page 214, Kareem is struggling to keep his "nature" under control by thinking about baseball, instead of Michele. If some of the names don't sound familiar to you, it's okay. These guys were all greats from the Negro League Basball era. If you recognized at least half the list, you're a real baseball fan! Here's a breakdown of some of the teams they were famous for:
Hank Aaron, Indianapolis Clowns
Ernie Banks, Kansas City Monarchs
Cool Papa Bell, Homestead Grays
Roy Campanella, Baltimore Elite Giants
Oscar Charleston, Pittsburgh Crawfords
"Sweetwater" Clifton, Chicago American Giants
Leon Day, Brooklyn Eagles
Josh Gibson, Homestead Grays
Home Run Johnson, Page Fence Giants
Buck Leonard, Homestead Grays
Biz Mackey, Philadelphia Hilldales
Willie Mays, Birmingham Black Barons
Buck O'Neil, Kansas City Monarchs
Satchel Paige, Pittsburgh Crawfords
Red Parnell, Philadelphia Stars
Bruce Petway, LeLand Giants
Jackie Robinson, Kansas City Monarchs
Smokey Joe Williams, New York Lincoln Giants
If you want to read more about these guys and even learn more about the NLB, the link below is a good start:

Enjoy! :^)
Brooklyn is NOT a Q Dog!
I don't want anybody thinking I'm slamming a real fraternity here. This is a fake frat that has it's own ways and mannerisms which are a combination (but not a copy) of bits from ALL fraternities. Most of my friends are succesful businessmen who all went through fraternity rituals in college. All of them are cool with the character and clearly see where I'm going with him. I hope you will too.
Soundtrack? Not exactly. It's more of an inspiration list. No professional affiliations here. It's just a selection of songs that I find motivating while drawing the story. I chose a collection of songs to fit most of the segments of the entire story. It's not perfect, but it's close. It feels like the soundtrack, so I pretend it is. My actual OA playlist has 53 songs, but I figure posting 25 will suffice. Wanna sample the songs? Clicking the titles will take you straight to the iTunes Music Store™. Here's what's "whistling" on my iPod while I work:

Working on OA has been a lot of fun. Since sending the characters on a Black College tour, I've spent a lot of time getting back into HBCU happenings and events. I recently came acoss a great community website called HBCUConnect.com. So, if you're involved in the HBCU Experience in some form or fashion, either being a graduate of an HBCU, having children that attend an HBCU, or just plain curious about the environment, their website is worth a look.
Here are a collection of wallpaper freebies of the characters from the OA story. I'll be adding more as the story progresses, so you'll see many scenes from the story showing up as wallpapers. Here are a few to browse through. Choose your screenz by clicking below them on the resolution of your choice.

This particular wallpaper
was done as a tribute to my wife's sorority, Delta
Sigma Theta. No disrespect
towards the other greek organizations, but if you do want an Alpha, Sigma
and Zeta version, let me know!

Did you get a PDF postcard?
During the promotional run prior to the posting of this site, I set up a postcard as a free download for anyone who wanted a souvenir of the new comic. If you still want it, you can download the PDF file from here by clicking on the graphic below:
How to navigate the OA site
Use the links to the top right of every page to move around the site. I'll be using the Xtraz page for misc. stuff, like downloadable files, wallpaper, etc. Who knows? Maybe t-shirts? posters? Check it often as the new year proceeds. Thanks for your continued support of my site.
