The Deleted Scenes
As goofy as you think this sounds, I wanted to put these in. When I originally did the story, it was never meant to be the great American novel. I was practicing character development! Sadly, I rushed through the project without considering the possibility of leaving a few loose ends. Therefore, I'm attempting to make up for some of that, by creating a few of the lost scenes of the OS novel. I drew them about a 18 months ago, and I wasn't satisfied with the results. So, for the release of the Printed version, I'm redrawing the deleted scenes to make them look the way I wanted them to look. If you've purchased a copy of the Opposite Sex Graphic Novel, you'll find a link inside your book telling you where you can download the deleted scences for FREE! Just my way of saying thanks for your support!
Michele's Softball Tryout
After throwing the ball to home plate from the
centerfield fence, the coach decides to see what else Michele can do. This
scene shows her extraordinary catching and hitting skills. This 2-page sequence
will give a bit of insight into Michele's first attempt to re-enter sports.

Lisa's Party
In a 1992 rewrite, I added this scene to explain why there was
such a high attendance at the 3rd game of an 0-2 softball team. On Thursday
night before Michele's first game, Lisa throws a party at her house, and
everybody shows up, including King with Belinda. During the party, talk
circulates about Michele's performance at practice that day, and how she'll
help the team this year.

First Game Highlights
Everybody always asks about the first game and how
did Michele perform. In my mind I saw the whole game, but in the end decided
it was too far off the main storyline for a short comic (at that point,
it still was a short story). I even envisioned a soundtrack to be playing
in the background during a montage of outstanding plays. I chose "Invisible
Touch" by "Genesis".
It sounds as if the game is being seen through King's eyes. If you have
it, play it while you're reading the game pages. You'll see what I mean.
