Using only the colors red and black, students were required to design a movie poster of a classic or cult film.

I was inspired to create this project after seeing a beautiful set of posters designed by the great Olly Moss. My personal fave was rain man, in which he used the dropped toothpicks to sum up a pivotal meaning of the film.

Taking a tip from him, I decidd to offer a challeange to my own students. Produce a poster promoting a film familiar to the masses, using only Red and Black (and occasionally White) as your color scheme. I provided the standard movie data and icons, while they researched all the names of the people to fit in the credits on IMDB. The results were fun and eye opening. Here’s a group of them below.
